One of my first paintings done on canvas. I had recently moved back to Stone Mountain, GA from Nashville, TN and was living with my mother and assisting her to the best of my ability with my older brother who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. During this time I was exploring ideas about alternate realities. This piece is the first of several that imagines plant life that might exist on far away planets, or perhaps on the planet Earth, but in an alternate universe and uses organic forms to represent the unpredictable nature of creation.
